APEX Real Time (ART) provides realtime communication between servers, apps and devices. You can use it for realtime charts, realtime chat, realtime user lists, realtime maps and many other kinds of UI updates. When something happens in your system, it can update page regions, items etc. When an event happens on an app, the app can notify all other apps and your system. For example, if Alice starts typing a message, his app could tell Jimmy's app to display "Alice is typing ..." or if the price of currency changes, your system could update the display of all open apps and web-pages.
